Cleaning your lounge set
How do I keep my lounge set clean? You buy a lounge set to last for several years, which is why proper maintenance is very important. However, each type of material requires a different treatment.
Wicker and aluminium: a wicker and aluminium lounge set is easy to maintain. Clean the wicker/aluminium with a lukewarm soapy solution and a soft brush. Use the brush to gently scrub away most of the dirt. Then, rinse the set with a garden hose to remove all dirt from the lounge set.
Teak wood: for teak, it is wise to clean your lounge set on a rainy day. The advantage of this is that when the teak is wet, the pores of the wood open up, making it easy to remove dirt with soapy water and a brush.
Can I wash my cushions?
In addition to your lounge set, your cushions also need maintenance. We always recommend storing your cushions at the end of a sunny day. This prevents your cushions from fading as quickly and keeps the fabric in good condition for much longer. All our lounge sets have cushions equipped with a zipper, making them easy to wash. We do, however, recommend doing this with cold water only. One thing you should absolutely not do with your cushion covers is put them in the dryer. We therefore recommend letting them dry in the sun.
